Trading is risky

Trading forex, gold, indices and other leveraged products carries a high risk of loss, and you can lose more than you expect. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.

Backtests describe the past

Every test on BacktestAI is hypothetical: it shows how a strategy would have behaved on past prices, on a MetaTrader 5 terminal, under the costs we assumed. It does not show how it will behave in the future.

Real results differ, often for the worse, because:

  • a strategy can fit the past too closely and fail on new data;
  • spreads, commissions, swaps, slippage and execution change from broker to broker and from day to day;
  • markets change, and what worked for five years can stop working.

Monte Carlo and other risk measures help you judge a strategy; they do not remove the risk.

AI can be wrong

The Quant AI agent and the AI reviews run on Meta's Muse models. They can misread a result, write code with a mistake, or be confident about something false. Review a strategy and its code before you run it on a real account.

Community strategies

Community strategies pass an AI review and a five-year test, which stop many tricks, but not every risk. A strategy published by another trader is not a recommendation by BacktestAI. Test it on your own dates before you trust it.

Not financial advice

Nothing on BacktestAI is financial, investment or trading advice, and we are not your broker or adviser. You alone decide what to trade, and you alone carry the result.
